Our school performances are a diverse sensory experience where stomp music is mixed with singing, rapping and stories being communicated wordlessly.
Rhythms from all over the world and a razor sharp sense of timing are the foundation from which small stories from everyday life are told. We use drama, body language, and humour to touch on topics such as bullying, competition, conflicts, solidarity and friendship.
It is an eye opening and inspiring concert experience: Cans being used as percussion, words are linked together and form a completely new meaning, harmonies spring forth from tuned plastic tubes and traditional drumming styles like Taiko- and Burundi drumming are executed on barrels and garbage bins.
Through warm-heartedness and a sparkle in the eye, we captivate the students and invite them to join the performance with singing, clapping and body beat.
With our performances, we want to share our excitement and love for the music. We seek to inspire with the countless possibilities of the stomp world and to show that music can be many different things. The aim of the show is to give food for thought and to encourage talks in the classroom. If you have suggestions to the content of the concert, we can easily adjust the show to fit your wishes.
Highly energetic stomp and comedic acting with a kind twist is touching people of all ages. For that reason, our school performance is used for all grade levels. We have been touring Denmark for LMS –Live Music for the Schools. The school show is developed in cooperation with Kirsten Andkjær Petersen, a producer at LMS. If your school is part of the LMS system you can, to great benefit, book us through LMS.
”Amazing musical experience. HeartBeats concert was completely captivating and very humorous. The audience of 0-3rd grade and teachers were continuously enchanted by Heartbeat. Their delivery was brilliant, whether they were rapping, miming, playing or singing. HeartBeats performance easily could’ve appealed the older students, as there was humor on several levels and body rhythms that makes your jaw drop”.
